The New York Museum of Transportation is a unique resource providing a wealth of historical information for students and hours of delight and education for visitors of all ages. Through our historic vehicles and photographs, trolley rides and track car rides and model railroad displays, research library and gift shop, the museum's dedicated volunteers honor our area's transportation history, bringing it to life for today's visitors and preserving it for the future.

Located at 6393 East River Road, in the Rochester suburb of Rush, the New York Museum of Transportation is open all year, on Sundays only, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Group visits can be arranged on other days, by appointment.



           

The New York Museum of Transportation supports Operation Lifesaver , GuideStar ,
and our Sister Museum R&GV RR Museum,
and is a member of the Association of Railway Museums
and the Arts & Cultural Council of Greater Rochester Arts Council Calendar
