Keeping snow cleared from streetcar rails became a problem as trolley systems grew in the northern U.S. The solution was work cars like this one, equipped with giant rotating brushes. C-130, similar to cars used in Rochester, was built by J.G. Brill Co. in 1923 for service in Philadelphia.
